Cairo – 31 July 2008 - HitekNOFAL, a leading provider of communication network solutions and systems integrator, ZTE, a global telecoms equipment provider, 3M, one of the world’s largest conglomerates, ART, the renowned Arabic content provider, and Polaris World, one of the world’s top golf resort developers, organized a seminar focused on Fiber Optic technologies, and more particularly FTTx, FTTH and GPON.

The event took place on July 29, 2008, 6:30-10:00 pm, at the Grand Hyatt Cairo (Laylaty Ballroom), and involved a presentation of the Consortium, the common targets, the technologies involved, and each company’s contribution into the various projects jointly undertaken. An interactive forum clarified more detailed points and questions of the participants.
As the Consortium’s business enterprise revolutionizes Egypt’s urban and social environment, with the introduction of new concepts of daily life and the convergence of varied technologies, a fast growing interest for FTTH has been clearly manifested throughout the country.
The HitekNOFAL – ZTE – 3M – ART – Polaris Consortium has been set up in order to properly address this fascination for state-of-the-art solutions for residences and the Egyptian society’s need for technological updates, innovations and modernization.
