We make available market leading products for accurate marking and locating of critical buried network features. Due to the advanced RFID technology, the programming of feature identification into the markers is perfectly enabled. For this purpose, interfaces with GPS systems are made available to help for accurate mapping.
Locator Accessories and Replacement Parts
A full complement of accessories and replacement parts for locators
Locators 2200 Series
The 2200 series locator is built specifically to find the path and estimated depth of buried cables and pipes.
Features:
Four active frequencies
Passive frequencies for power, cathodic protection systems and CATV
Auxiliary frequencies for long distance locating from remote transmitters
Toning of aerial cable
Direct readout of active duct probe
Cable/pair identification
Receivers incorporate an expander function to make peaks
and nulls more pronounced
Receiver and transmitter self-test each time the unit is turned on Similarly with other locator models, the Dynatel locator 2273 performs all functions of the 2250 locator, plus the task to find underground faults.
Locators 2200M/M-iD Series
For cable path locating, the Dynatel cable/pipe locators and faultfinders M series have a highly accurate multi-antenna design for various user-selected locating modes, namely Directional Peak, Multi-Directional Null, plus an ultra-sensitive Special Peak mode for extreme depths. Additionally, our most advanced locators, M-iD series, offer the ability to locate active and passive electronic markers.
Cable/Pipe/Fault/EMS Locators 2250M-iD and 2273M-iD
Even in the heaviest of traffic, these locators can indicate whether a properly installed marker is for power, gas, water, wastewater, CATV or telephone utilities.
In addition, the M-iD series locators feature the ability to write, read and lock programmed information into the 3M Electronic Marker System iD Ball Markers 1400 Series, which is an exclusive feature. Information such as a the pre-programmed unique identification number, the facility data, the application type, the placement date and other details from up to 100 iD markers can be stored with a date/time stamp. All this information can then be transmitted to a PC through a standard RS232 port.
Locators 2200M/M-iD Series Accessories
Locators 2250M and 2273M
M-Series locators come equipped with several built-in features that allow accurate cable and pipe locating and faultfinding:
Locate cable and pipe path
Measure cable/pipe or sonde depth
Measure signal current in the cable or pipe
Identify cable and cable pairs
Tone shorts and grounds in aerial cable
Locate energized power cable
Marker Locator 1420-iD Series
1400 series iD ball markers can be programmed to include customer-specific information such as the facility data, the application type, the material type, the size and placement date and other. They are pre-programmed with a unique identification number, which is also attached to the marker on a removable bar-coded tag.
Additional information can be programmed and locked by the user via the 1420-iD or M-iD series locators. When a read signal is sent, iD markers respond with the data previously stored. Data may be easily transferred to a PC or sent to select GPS/GIS mapping devices for real time mapping. iD markers' four-inch diameter makes them easy to drop in a trench, and they can be located and read from a depth of five feet. A patented free-floating design in a rugged polyethylene shell ensures that the self-leveling marker is always in an accurate horizontal position.
1420 EMS-iD Marker Locators are microprocessor-based systems that incorporate advanced digital signal processing techniques to quickly and efficiently locate underground facilities - even years after construction or maintenance.
Electronic Marker System (EMS)
Electronic marker systems (EMS) deliver more information to accelerate identification and help avoid costly mistakes. In fact, EMS markers are passive antennas with no internal power source to run down. EMS markers are not affected by overgrown vegetation or vandalism and cannot be worn away by the weather. As they are durable and passive markers that can be buried over key facilities during construction or used to mark existing facilities during maintenance. Due to their high strength polyethylene shells, EMS markers are impervious to minerals, chemicals and temperature extremes. |
